The Past 2 Days
The past 2 days have been a bit rough. I shouldn't complain because I know others have had it worse. I got a bad stomach virus and vomited around 5 times at home, 1 on the way to the hospital, and 4 more times at the hospital. I could barely stand up on my own two feet by the time I got to the hospital. On top of the dehydration, the baby decided to tease me a bit and I was having contractions about every 10 minutes. That led to a couple of shots that made me feel like if my heart was going to come out of my chest. Fun, fun, fun. The baby was head down in the ultrasound too. The doctor decided to keep me at the hospital to monitor the contractions and thank God, by this morning, they had died down. I'm very thankful to be home, sleeping in my bed and almost back on a regular diet. It's very scary when you're 27 weeks pregnant and you start getting thoughts of having a preemie. That's when I have to remember that the baby I'm carrying belongs to God and He's in control of that life. So, thank you all who prayed for me and Ian and thanks to my dear husband who stayed by my side the whole time. And of course I have to thank God for being so faithful and for bringing me peace these past 2 days. :)

Oh my!
That must have been scary! I can totally relate to you...
I went into preterm when I was almost 32 weeks. Hospitalized for 4 days and on bed rest for 2 weeks. And oh my gosh, that magnesium sulfate is the worst thing ever. Your heart beats at 1000 miles an hour and I felt like they were putting hot wax in my veins...LOL!
And through that whole experience, it's true, you're reminded how precious that life you're carrying is. And how your body no longer belongs to you! That first night in my hospital stay I cried so much because you picture the perfect pregnancy and perfect labor, and find yourself asking God to allow you to make it 8 more weeks...
Well, just wanted to let you know that we prayed for you guys that night and we're happy that you and Ian are doing a lot better!!
Take care!
